Selena Gomez' Obsessed Fan I'm a Danger to Selena!
How's this for bizarre ...The man who says he's had conversations with God about killing Selena Gomez is saying Selena needs protection from him.
Thomas Brodnicki -- who was charged with felony stalking but had the charges dismissed last month -- is now siding with Selena in her bid for a permanent restraining order against him.
The judge in the case has refused to issue the restraining order until Brodnicki could appear in court and defend himself. But now Brodnicki -- who was picked up on a psychiatric hold last month -- filed a sworn declaration telling the judge that he didn't want to attend the next court hearing on January 6, adding, "I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez."
Brodnicki goes on ... "I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."
In another declaration that was just filed, LAPD Detective Jose Viramontes said when he picked Brodnicki up on the psych hold, "He told me that he had over fifty conversations with God a day, about killing Ms. Gomez."

She has also added that she fears she may end up losing her life in a similar fashion.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ‘Gaga has always been absolutely engrossed in the life of Diana and sees herself as a 21st-century incarnation of her’.
‘She knows she is almost as recognizable as Diana and is hounded by photographers and fans on the same level. Gaga has had dreams about dying the same way as her and has genuine fears that her fame could literally kill her, either in a chase or at the hands of crazies’, the source was quoted to have said.
Gaga’s earlier single, ‘Paparazzi‘, was also about the perils of celebrity and was also written with the tragic figure of Diana in mind.

'Chronicles of Riddick' New Movie Shut Down -- No Money, Mo' Problems
Vin Diesel's comeback as an ass-kicking ex-con from the future is on hold ... because production on the new "Chronicles of Riddick" movie has been shut down over some serious cash flow issues.
TMZ spoke with Michel Trudel -- the owner of the Montreal studio where the new movie is being shot -- who tells us he changed the locks and kicked everyone off the set Wednesday because the production company, One Race Films, has failed to pay up on time.
FYI -- One Race Films was founded by Vin Diesel ... who is also set to produce and star in the upcoming flick.
But Trudel isn't the only one griping about a paycheck -- sources connected to production tell us several members of the crew have not been paid in over 2 weeks ... and are very concerned about getting their money.
Trudel tells us he's confident the situation will be resolved soon ... and he's more than happy to let production resume ... as soon as he gets his money.
Calls to Diesel's camp were not returned.

Hicks was arrested in Canada on Friday and charged with wire fraud. Officials believe he was trying to flee to Switzerland. If convicted, Hicks could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

I do not have eligible friends or relatives residing in America, hence I am having to do this.

What’s D’banj talking about? I didn’t date Genevieve Nnaji but at the end we understand that things couldn’t work out
Recently, Nigerian music megastar D’banj granted an interview to Vanguard newspapers. Below are excerpts from the interview.
D’banj says:
“I really can’t remember, it cost between N4m to N5m, I ‘m not too sure. But I think it’s a beautiful idea if not for the way everyone is trying to go about it. I think Genevieve is a stunner I could date or love her. But we didn’t date. She’s my friend and a star you know. We’re close and we both understand that things couldn’t work out.
That song was recorded two years before the video was released and it remains my biggest song ever. I wanted to make a statement with it.
We had options of whom to use in the video, but at the end of the day, we saw that it’s an African song and by that time I had already played it in about fifty weddings.”
Hmmm… so if D’banj didn’t date Genevieve as he claims, then what thing did they understand couldn’t work out? We’re at lost here.

Everybody Loves Ice Prince [Album Review]
So the mantra around town is Everybody Loves Ice Prince. The third rapper in the Choc Boy collective has finally dropped his much anticipated debut album popularly abbreviated as ELI. In exactly a year Ice Prince Zamani has gone from obscurity to national fame after he dropped his colossal single ‘Oleku’ followed by a less successful but equally commercial follow up single ‘Super Star’
So what does this pop star’s debut album sound like? Well for one thing, Ice Prince is ambitious. Being one of today’s pop acts, Ice constructs records that lean towards the popular demographic than the rap crowd where he sprouted from. When his stars align the songs hit their mark. ‘Juju’ orchestrated by label mate and singer/producer Jesse Jagz has a tinge of Afrobeat in it and sees Ice rhyming about fake friends. ‘Wassup Wassup’ feat 2face is another of these songs as Ice Prince borrows Wizkid’s flow on the track. ‘By This Time’ featuring highlife favourite Wizboyy is a track concocted with Eastern Nigerian in mind with its heavy highlife influence.
It’s not all of Ice Prince’s experiments that work. ‘Baby’ is a deliberate attempt to cash in on the new highlife fever in the country and not a very good one at that. ‘Olofofo’ featuring pop sensation Wizkid is paper weight at best and ‘End of Story’ featuring Samklef gives off the ‘been there-heard that’ feel that now lurks in his rehashed beats.
Another ‘Achilles heel’ of Ice Prince is his might I say ‘cheesy lines’. In a bid to impress with his wordplay he goofs by kicking some head-scratching lines. While this can be noticed in the album, the major culprit of this is Magician featuring Yung L & J Milla.
Despite these flaws, ELI is an LP with some solid tracks to its name. ‘Find You’ is a sober track dedicated to his dead parents. Ice’s youngest sister talks at the end of the song which makes it very gripping and emotional. ‘Somebody Lied’ speaks on his determination to make it in Lagos and the broken promises of the democratic government.
Overall Ice Prince has ended up delivering a debut that shoots for the stars. While not reaching its target he has however placed himself in the galaxy Nigeria’s rising pop stars.

Tiwa Savage, ill Rhymes Are Hosts of Nigerian Idol Season 2
R&B singer Tiwa Savage and popular Video Jockey Ill Rhymes have been named as the new hosts at the second season of the Nigerian Idol reality TV show. This was made known by Optima Media Group (OMG), organizers of the reality show today Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
Tiwa (whose is a product of the X-Factor reality show in the UK) and Ill Rhymes will be replacing season one’s hosts Misi Molu and Anis Halloway. Misi confirmed her replacement today via her Twitter account. ‘Announcement to be made today! I’m no longer the host for Nigerian Idol!!! Really Sux!!! But I’ve gotta move forward and hope for the best!‘, @MisiMolu tweeted.
Also, Audu Maikori who was a judge on the show’s first season has been replaced with popular singer/entertainer Charly Boy. The reason for the switch according to Chichi of OMG is that Audu lives in Abuja and would find it quite difficult to attend the shows which will hold in different parts of the country.
This year’s viewership according to Rotimi Pedro, C.E.O of OMG, will increase to nine countries as opposed to five countries in season one.
Also this year’s prize has been increased to a whooping sum of a hundred thousand Dollars which will cover a recording contract. The first runner up will walk away with 2.5M Naira while the second runner up will win 1M Naira.
The show kicks off Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Peter Okoye Pays Son Surprise Birthday Visit With Wizkid
Friday, September 23, 2011 will remain remarkable for kids and members of staff of Footsteps Playgroup, as they received an unplanned visitation from Wizkid. The occasion was Cameron Okoye’s birthday, and the lucky kid’s parents – Peter Okoye (of PSquare)and Lola Omotayo, drove into the school with cakes and the Wizkid surprise. Cameron is a ‘Minnie’ pupil in the high-scale Lagos pre-school nursery. He clocked three years old.
The proud father tweeted pictures from the surprise visit using his official handle @Peter Square – ‘Surprised my son 2day wit @wizkidayo cos he is a fan.‘
According to eye witnesses, the parents arrived together with Wizkid and body guards. That unsettled the school a bit as the children were distracted by the familiar faces. The hugs, birthday songs, cheers and picture session soon overwhelmed Cameron, who shares date with another classmate, and the kid soon reportedly, asked his dad to leave.
While Cameron’s teachers shared party packs to his class mates, the parents took some alone time in the school garden hugging, kissing and catching up. The whole school was served cakes and drinks courtesy of the Okoyes.
Peter Okoye, 31 and Lola Omotayo, 38 were a popular love item in 2007 and 2008 before Lola took in and delivered the Pop star’s first and only child. The lovers have since refrained from joint public appearances leaving all to ponder on the true state of their relationship. Lola was last spotted at ‘the Invasion’ concert and album launch hosted by her son’s father and his twin last July in Lagos, Nigeria.

You were spotted secretly and publicly at different places with Genevieve Nnaji and we heard you both are in some kind of relationship. Is this true?
QUE:
Okay. We heard you recently featured her in your music video, ‘Fall in Love.’ Is this a publicity stunt or is it a real relationship?
D’Banj:
“This is all so funny because beyond the personal feelings I have for Genevieve, on the business side, she is the only one who represented what we were looking for to shoot the video. She represents Africa. She represents the African Queen. She is the biggest and was even profiled on the Oprah Winfrey Show. So it was a mixed feeling for me. She was the perfect person to use for the song ‘Fall in Love’. She even was my perception of someone you would want to fall in love with and have in your life. I believe the average African man wherever you are, if you want to think of whom you would want to fall in love with, if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, it’s Genevieve that will come to mind. So business-wise, she represented everything we were looking for to make the video.”
QUE:
You must have been looking at her whilst you were singing. Were you really telling her your feelings?
D’Banj:
“I am in love with Genevieve. It’s been long I felt this way about anyone. I don’t know what other words to use to qualify my feelings. But when you see the video, you will know that it’s not just a video, it was me talking to my girl for real.
QUE:
So is this a marriage-headed relationship?
D’Banj:
“Well, what can I say? Like I said, Genevieve is the biggest African star that I know and I am in the public eye, so it is to be expected. But I personally do not care about any news that wants to come out. I am proud of whom I am with. When I met Genevieve I knew what I wanted and I went after it and I am still with what I want and she’s the one I want. Right now the only woman in my life is Genevieve and she knows that. We want to be together and we don’t want to hide it any longer. I want to be able to take her out, walk into anywhere with her and not have to hide. I’ve found my kokolet, my woman. Please pray for us.”
D’Banj:
“Yes, yes, yes. We have been trying to keep this quiet but yes, I am dating Genevieve Nnaji.

“Like I just told you, Genevieve is my girlfriend. In fact, I don’t like using that word girlfriend. She’s my baby, she’s my everything and I love her. We are both very mature and also very private. MTV announces on Wednesday, August 24 that Beyonce Knowles is part of the VMA acts now. The "Single Ladies" singer will perform live at the Sunday, August 28 fiesta. She is also a nominee in three categories; Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.
"Beyonce has delivered some of the most legendary and memorable performances in VMA history, we are so excited she'll be returning to the VMA stage this year," said Amy Doyle, executive producer and EVP, music and talent at MTV. "Everyone will be talking about how she set the VMA stage on fire-yet again!"
Apart from Beyonce, the 28th annual show has Lady GaGa, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Young the Giant in the performers list. Also announced is the next batch of presenters which now includes Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Victoria Justice, Kevin Hart and Zoe Saldana.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are ready to walk down the aisle.
The 30-year-old reality star and 26-year-old professional basketball player will be married Saturday evening in the exclusive Montecito area near Santa Barbara, Calif., in a ceremony that will be televised as a two-part special on E! in October.
It will be the first marriage for Humphries and the second for Kardashian, who was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.
Kardashian and Humphries began dating late last year and announced their engagement in May. He proposed on bended knee with a 20.5-carat ring by spelling out "will you marry me?" in rose petals.
Kardashian is a star of E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Humphries last played for the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets.
Since the couple's engagement, the pending nuptials have provided constant fodder for entertainment media and the Kardashians themselves, who have posted updates about the wedding on their various blogs and websites.

The 30-year-old reality star and 26-year-old professional basketball player will be married Saturday evening in the exclusive Montecito area near Santa Barbara, Calif., in a ceremony that will be televised as a two-part special on E! in October.
It will be the first marriage for Humphries and the second for Kardashian, who was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.
Kardashian and Humphries began dating late last year and announced their engagement in May. He proposed on bended knee with a 20.5-carat ring by spelling out "will you marry me?" in rose petals.
Kardashian is a star of E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Humphries last played for the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets.
Since the couple's engagement, the pending nuptials have provided constant fodder for entertainment media and the Kardashians themselves, who have posted updates about the wedding on their various blogs and websites.
The exact location of the ceremony has been kept secret, but everything else about the extravaganza — the dress designer, the cake maker, the stationer, the gift registry, the Kardashian-brand perfume — has been touted endlessly by the family and its fans.

I was one of the first ones to kind of co-sign him. My man Usher discovered him, from then I was like, ‘This little kid is the truth.’ Mariah loves him. He’s an entertaining, cute little kid. I love kids!”
Nick and Mariah Carey even want to have a cutie patootie of their own “one day,” Nick confessed. It will happen “as soon as we calm down and as soon as you all stop asking, probably!” AWW! Sorry Nick, we just couldn’t resist.
Until that happens, “Mr. and Mrs. C.,” as Nick and Mariah refer to themselves, are just enjoying their life together. “Wake up in the morning tell them that you love them first thing,” Nick advises to all couples. “Start your day with that, your good. [Also,] have fun. If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be married!”
As we know, Nick is very good about having fun with Mariah and playing the role of adorably sweet hubby. Just this week, Nick gave her a ring that looks like a Ring Pop, but it’s made out of diamonds and sapphires (our expert estimates that it cost about $50,000) and guess what — “It also turns into a necklace as well,” said Nick.
Wow, it sounds like Nick definitely earned the special treat Mariah gave him in return this week. She “made me breakfast in bed — oatmeal,” Nick gushed. And “yeah,” she cooked it herself!”

We all envy them, but few of us are them, they are the 10 richest American musicians. From time immemorial (after all, there was nothing before America!), American musicians have been raking in the dough from world record sales, tours, and enterprises. Who tops the list of richest American musicians, though? Well, you'll just have to read on to find out.
1. Madonna. An icon, not only among American musicians, but western culture in general, Madonna seriously rocks. Born in 1958, she has clung quite well to her fame. There is no doubt in our minds that she makes anything less than that $110,000,000 figure put out there.
2. Prince. Since we can't really put his actual "symbol" up here, we'll have to deal with Prince's former name. Forbes has purported that his most recent year hit around a $49.7 million income. Prince's actual net worth, however, is much, much more numerous.
3. The Eagles. Forbes has shown us a $45 million royalty for these legends as of this year. The Eagles have raked in all-together too much to count, however, so it is important to know that their income still flows in to this day from their former mainstream successes.
4. Metallica. The kings of rock have only put their 2005 earnings as the latest figures to count them by. Nonetheless, $37,400,000 isn't anything to frown upon, at all my dear friends. Keep it rockin'!
5. P Diddy. Sean Combs is Bad Boy's featured producer, executive, and all-around notorious pimp. $36 million flows into his pockets on an average year, and we can't help but say we truly are jealous.
6. Bette Midler. No one might think this former comedian/singer was able to rake in $31 million every year, even since her fall from the mainstream. Yet, this senior citizen is anything but "old", at least in the monetary sense: her money is alive and well!
7. Van Halen. The biggest act of the 80's (and to an extent, the 90's), these American musicians recently made a faithful comeback tour for its fans. With $29.6 million big ones flying into their hands from royalties, why would they even bother leaving the house?
8. Beyonce. She really is the "female version of a hustler"; in 2010, Jay-Z's wifey killed a massive $87 million for their larger-than-life fortune. Who needs money like that? Well, if you plan to one day top the richest American musicians chart, you'll be needing it.
9. Bruce Springsteen. In recent years, Springsteen was able to garner $70,000,000 for himself. His mainstream success is, in many ways, a result of his "Born in The U.S.A." track, which garnered popular attention. Way to go 'Boss'!
10. Coldplay. From their hits as American musicians in the late 90's, to their continued success as icons of music in the 2000's, Coldplay is revolutionary. You know what else is revolutionary? The fact that they donate a whopping 10% of their (approximately) $70 million annual income to charity. Noble, indeed, Chris Martin and co.
As you can see, not only are many American musicians very successful at what they do, they are extremely diverse. From Beyonce's east-coast hip hop to Coldplay's alternative rock and roll, the richest American musicians all have their own style. Still, that's why we love them. US debt deal ‘very close,’ says top Senate Republican
(AFP) – The top Republican in the Senate said Sunday he was “very close” to reaching an agreement with Democrats on a deal to raise the US debt ceiling and avoid default.
“I’m very close to being able to recommend to my members that we have an agreement here that is worth supporting,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told CNN’s “State of the Union” program.
McConnell said Republican leaders and the White House were working on a package that would cut spending by $3 trillion and cap spending over the next 10 years. He said there would be no tax increases.
“I think I can confidently say this debt ceiling increase will avoid default, which is important for everybody in America to know we are not going to have a default for the first time, and we’re not going to have job-killing tax increases in it, and we will deal with the problem, and that’s that the government has been spending too much,” he said.
