Beyonce Added to 2011 MTV VMA Performers List
MTV announces on Wednesday, August 24 that Beyonce Knowles is part of the VMA acts now. The "Single Ladies" singer will perform live at the Sunday, August 28 fiesta. She is also a nominee in three categories; Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.
"Beyonce has delivered some of the most legendary and memorable performances in VMA history, we are so excited she'll be returning to the VMA stage this year," said Amy Doyle, executive producer and EVP, music and talent at MTV. "Everyone will be talking about how she set the VMA stage on fire-yet again!"
Apart from Beyonce, the 28th annual show has Lady GaGa, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Young the Giant in the performers list. Also announced is the next batch of presenters which now includes Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Victoria Justice, Kevin Hart and Zoe Saldana.
MTV VMA would be held at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater and broadcast live at 9 P.M. ET.

Kardashian, Humphries to wed in evening ceremony
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are ready to walk down the aisle.
The 30-year-old reality star and 26-year-old professional basketball player will be married Saturday evening in the exclusive Montecito area near Santa Barbara, Calif., in a ceremony that will be televised as a two-part special on E! in October.
It will be the first marriage for Humphries and the second for Kardashian, who was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.
Kardashian and Humphries began dating late last year and announced their engagement in May. He proposed on bended knee with a 20.5-carat ring by spelling out "will you marry me?" in rose petals.
Kardashian is a star of E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Humphries last played for the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets.
Since the couple's engagement, the pending nuptials have provided constant fodder for entertainment media and the Kardashians themselves, who have posted updates about the wedding on their various blogs and websites.
The exact location of the ceremony has been kept secret, but everything else about the extravaganza — the dress designer, the cake maker, the stationer, the gift registry, the Kardashian-brand perfume — has been touted endlessly by the family and its fans.
But none of that is causing pre-wedding jitters for the bride. Earlier this week, Kardashian said she was feeling "totally calm" about the much-hyped ceremony.
"I think that freak-out moment kind of already passed," she said at a party Wednesday to launch her new clothing line at Sears.
So what attracted her to her husband-to-be?
"He's the most genuine person," she said. "He's really supportive and he has his own stuff going on, too."

Justin Bieber melts the hearts of everyone he meets. “That’s my little man,” Nick Cannon told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY at the NYC premiere of Queen Latifah‘s new movie Just Wright on May 4. “I helped bring that youngster up in the game. I was one of the first ones to kind of co-sign him. My man Usher discovered him, from then I was like, ‘This little kid is the truth.’ Mariah loves him. He’s an entertaining, cute little kid. I love kids!”
Nick and Mariah Carey even want to have a cutie patootie of their own “one day,” Nick confessed. It will happen “as soon as we calm down and as soon as you all stop asking, probably!” AWW! Sorry Nick, we just couldn’t resist.
Until that happens, “Mr. and Mrs. C.,” as Nick and Mariah refer to themselves, are just enjoying their life together. “Wake up in the morning tell them that you love them first thing,” Nick advises to all couples. “Start your day with that, your good. [Also,] have fun. If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be married!”
As we know, Nick is very good about having fun with Mariah and playing the role of adorably sweet hubby. Just this week, Nick gave her a ring that looks like a Ring Pop, but it’s made out of diamonds and sapphires (our expert estimates that it cost about $50,000) and guess what — “It also turns into a necklace as well,” said Nick.
Wow, it sounds like Nick definitely earned the special treat Mariah gave him in return this week. She “made me breakfast in bed — oatmeal,” Nick gushed. And “yeah,” she cooked it herself!”
And as if the two of them could get any cuter, Nick also admitted that he’s totally obsessed with his wife’s song “Love Story!” “That record,” he said, “pretty much if you listen to the whole track, it’s us!” OMG adorable!
Mariah and Nick even have their own private inside joke that always makes them crack up. “Saying KKLB [is our thing], Nick laughed. “And NO, I will not tell you what that means!

We hope Nick’s summer adventure is as entertaining as he hopes. “The thing I am most excited about this summer is that I’m going on a stand-up tour. I’m excited about that,” Nick told us.

“It’s not really about that,” she said abruptly. “I think it’s definitely just about my tour and it’s about all this hard work I’ve done.”
